Belinda B. Lazzara

Belinda Barndollar Lazzara was born in Silver Spring, Maryland in 1973.  She has been a Florida resident since 1983.  She attended the University of Florida and graduated cum laude in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.  She then attended American University, Washington College of Law, earning her Juris Doctor in 1998 and MBA in 1999.  She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1999 and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 2005.

Ms. Lazzara is an active member of the Florida Bar, the St. Petersburg Bar Association, the Canakaris Family Law Inn of Court, and the Florida Bar Foundation.  In addition, she currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Community Law Program, a charitable organization providing free or low-cost legal services for low-income and disadvantaged individuals in Pinellas County.  She has volunteered for the Community Law Program since 1995 and was awarded two Newcomer Awards for her volunteer work in 2001 and 2003.  In addition, Ms. Lazzara serves as one of two Sixth Circuit Representatives on the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors. 

She joined Meros, Smith, Lazzara & Olney in 2003 and became a shareholder in 2005.  Her practice focus is Marital and Family Law, including Divorce, Alimony, Child Custody, Child Support, Mediation/Marital Settlement Agreements, Modifications, Relocations, Paternity, Prenuptial Agreements, Appeals and Domestic Violence Injunctions.  She also serves as a Court-appointed Guardian ad Litem on behalf of minor children.
